HOW DOES Q-2DMS WORK?

Q-2DMS adds a controlled extra separation stage inside familiar QTOF workflows, turning complex mixtures into linked precursor–fragment maps.

ENCODE THE PRECURSORS

First, provide controls for the quadrupole filter in the QTOF to allow it to function as a linear ion trap. Then infuse the whole sample and apply a broadband radio-frequency pulse to differentially excite ions.

2D Peak Map

The top-down view of your data as either a contour or a heat map is a core output from our 2Discover software. A cross-hair cursor provides both zoom (click and drag) and extract - showing the horizontal and vertical slices at that point. A horizontal slice will provide a standard MS/MS spectrum for a single precursor in a single charge state.
